James Masullo

James Masullo of Ossining died on June 7, 2013, he was 88. He was born March 15, 1925 in Ossining to Pellegrino & Rose Petrone Masullo. Jimmy was a SSgt. in the Army during WWII in the South Pacific where he received a Bronze star. He worked as a Pipe Fitter for NYCRR in Harmon for 42 years.
Jimmy was a member of the American Legion Post 506, the It Lo club and Tarrytown Leisure Club. He volunteered at the VA Hospital; helped with the Columbus Lodge, Elk’s Lodge, 52 Association and other organizations. Jimmy was pre-deceased by his brothers Tony (Tommy Mercer), Bill, Joe, Al and sister Viola Planamenta. He is survived by his wife Valeria and many nieces & nephews.

Robert J. DeStefano of Peekskill, NY passed away on May 14, 2013. He was 60 years old. Robert was born on February 25, 1953 in Yonkers, NY to Nicholas R. and Lois J. Page DeStefano. He attended and graduated from Saunders High School in Yonkers. Robert worked for Metro North, Croton-Harmon as an Electrician for forty years. He is survived by his sister Judy Grady of Peekskill and two nieces Kelly and Courtney.

Salvatore R. “Tootie” Frisenda , age 80, of Cold Spring, NY, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Cold Spring, NY on June 19, 1931 he was the son of the late Rosario and Giuseppina (Dipone) Frisenda.
He was the widower of the late Jean Ellen (Sutton) Frisenda who predeceased him in 1994.
Mr. Frisenda, “Tootie,” as he was know by most, was a retired Mechanical Foreman for Metro-North Railroad in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, retiring in 2000. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, Loretto Council # 536 Knights of Columbus, and Ex-Chief of Cold Spring Fire Company # 1.
Tootie always believed in living life to the fullest, whether he was swinging a driver on the first tee or racking up the strikes at the bowling alley. He loved to travel with his family, visiting Europe and seeing the beautiful sights of the United States.

Mike McCarthy

Michael T. McCarthy, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his home. He was 82.
Son of the late Michael J. and Ethel Allen McCarthy, he was born November 11, 1928 in Manhattan. On December 18, 1948 in St. Denis Church in Yonkers, he married the love of his life, Kay Roche. Mrs. McCarthy survives at home in Poughkeepsie.
Prior to his retirement Mike worked as a foreman with Metro North in Croton Harmon for forty-six years. He was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie.
